About Us

Welcome to Wither.

Wither is an independent, slow-design fashion house founded on the principles of textile circularity, quiet luxury, and uncompromising craftsmanship. Operating from our private studio in Bengaluru, India, we create limited-run, handcrafted accessories that breathe a second life into forgotten materials.

The Philosophy of Return

The name Wither represents a deliberate pause in the lifecycle of textiles. In a world dominated by rapid consumption and mass assembly lines, we choose to look closer at what has been left behind. We find beauty in transition, structure in remnants, and luxury in intentional slowness.

Reclaimed Surplus & Solo Craftsmanship

Our creations are born from a raw process of intervention. We reclaim textile leftovers, apparel manufacturing cutting-floor fragments, and fabric remnants directly from both garment production facilities and local artisan tailors. By stepping in to salvage these mixed textiles from the industry's overproduction, we intercept this post-cutting scrap excess and redirect it straight into our slow-design studio.

The real craft begins in our studio. Every single scrap is collected, thoroughly cleaned, and methodically sorted by material, texture, and scale. We do not use uniform, factory-standard fabric sheets. The true beauty of our upcycling matrix is its unpredictable nature—mixing whatever textures are available, balancing varied fabric weights, and letting the raw materials dictate the final design.

From this unorganized pile of remnants, we cut, hand-gather, and meticulously stitch every single item. As these scraps are completely finite, our collection series is strictly limited. When a specific reclaimed fabric remnant is exhausted, that exact design architecture closes forever.
